Community Guidelines
We made this site to help college students find the career of their dreams, by connecting them with people who want to help. It's your connections that can really help you out, and we have these guidelines to encourage this on Kickstart:Good:
Please respect others: Kickstart isn't just about your getting a job, no matter how desperate you are; it's for everyone you want to help and who wants to help you. Please understand that some members may not be able to lend you a hand, and there are others who can. Please be honest: Lying about yourself or others hurts your community, which undermines everyone’s chances at discovering something new for themselves.
Please be professional: If all goes well, hopefully you'll come across your future mentor or coworker on Kickstart. Please don't post or say anything that could make you or others feel uncomfortable.
Please post relevant representative images: When choosing what images to contribute towards a profile, please make sure the subject matter suitably represents the profile. For instance, pictures of buildings and surroundings are great; pictures of people’s faces or small ants may not be as effective.
Bad:
Please don't post or share things that aren’t yours, particularly copyrighted materials or other parties’ trademarks that you don't have a right to use or images and photos of people without their permission. Not only are these not yours to share, we'll have to take them down when the owners ask us and in some instances also terminate your Yahoo! account. Please don't be obscene: These are your friends and their coworkers, after all.
Please don't break the law: Posting or doing things that violate your country's, state's, province's, or city's laws will come back to bite you. Please don't stalk, harass, or steal on Kickstart (and in general, too!).
We are trying our best to keep Kickstart helpful for everyone, so if you see something that bothers you, please flag it or report the matter to us. If we feel a participant is not following these guidelines, we may have to terminate that account without warning. Also, for safety reasons, children under the age of 18 are not permitted to participate.
If you are the owner of copyrighted or other protected material, including trademarks, which you believe is being misused on Kickstart, please go to our Copyright/IP Policy page to learn how to report the misuse.
